American Express International Women's Day

American Express wanted to do something a little different this year for International Women's Day. Working alongside the internal brand team Amex’s NYC office, we crafted an employee celebration from the ground up for International Women’s Day in partnership with Amex’s “Ambition Project”.


From the smallest of details like custom "Ambitious Avenue" street signs spread throughout the lobby and company floors to larger undertakings like partnering with 7 women-owned businesses to showcase their products and celebrate their stories at an evening reception, there was no detail spared (champagne wall and all).

The morning started with a lobby engagement, where employees were handed Ambition Project swag as they entered the office, followed by a panel session with an "Ambitious" themed photo engagement in the waiting area, ending the night with an elegant evening reception. Each business owner had their own, custom branded storefront and decor that matched their design and brand aesthetic. Our expectation of 500 employees attending turned out to be over 2,000; it was wildly successful, inspiring, and well worth all the careful, detailed planning.
